Tributes pour in for Sochima Amanda Iloka, who died after battling Malaria

The graduate of popularly known as ‘Soch Money’ Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka reportedly died yesterday after a brief illness.

A tribute on her page read;

“RIP SENIOR SOCHIMA ILLOKA, a.k.a SOCH MONEY
She was my senior in secondary school then, she left this world yesterday after a brief illness (Malaria), MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE AMEN.

It is really a sad news that a young lady with a bright future like her died but the truth is that no one can reject death, I have been thinking about her demise since yesterday, I was saying that “she is too young to die”, then I remembered that there are some people that are more younger than her that are no more.

This is just to remind us that we are on a journey in this world, no matter what we are doing on earth, let us keep in mind that no one knows his or her date of death, some people would be wondering how an ordinary malaria can kill someone, my dear, if God says it’s over, an ordinary sneeze can take you away, her death really touched me and it shows that we are nothing on this earth, we are dust and we shall return to where we belong, only the spirit will go for judgment.

Let us not relent in being careful the way we live our life, everyday is not Christmas, one day you might wake up and see your body lying on the bed and you can’t go back to it, death is a respecter of no one, if you like be rich, poor, beautiful, ugly, it doesn’t matter, what matters is where we would spend our life eternally.

BE CAREFUL HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE! NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE NEXT SECOND!! REST IN PEACE DEAR SOCH…None expected it so soon.

Shock as doctor discovers newborn baby boy ‘pregnant’ with twin brother

A baby boy was born ‘pregnant’ with his own twin brother.

Doctors discovered the half-formed male baby – complete with a brain, arm and legs – behind the otherwise-healthy baby boy’s stomach after he was born.

They successfully operated to remove the 7cm mass, which they suspect was a rare ‘foetus in fetu’ twin pregnancy – one of around 200 ever recorded in the world.

Radiologist Dr Bhavna Thorat, who spotted the problem during a routine scan, said: ‘It was inside a fetal sac of the newborn.’

The unnamed baby and his 19-year-old mother from Mumbra, in India, are both healthy and doing well.

‘I could see a tiny head with the brain inside’

Dr Thorat noticed the abnormality during a routine scan of the pregnant woman at Bilal Hospital in Mumbra in early July.

When the baby was born nine days later on July 20 he scanned the baby and found ‘another small baby’ inside the newborn’s abdomen.

Dr Thorat said: ‘I could see bones of the upper and lower limbs of the fetus.

‘The unique thing about it was I could see a tiny head with the brain inside.

‘However, this parasitic twin didn’t have a skull bone.’

The newborn was taken to Titan Hospital in Thane for surgery to remove the 150g mass.

Dr. Nichlani added: ‘The baby is now doing extremely well and the mother will begin feeding him soon.’

‘It can lead to death’

Gynecologist Dr Neena Nichlani said: ‘It is a case of monozygotic twin pregnancy sharing single placenta, where one fetus wraps itself around and envelops the other and robs the host of its nutrition.

‘It can be implanted in skull, abdomen or tail bone of the host.

‘Sometimes it can also lead to the death of the host because both get nutrition from a single cord.’

Dr Nichlani said the baby has been sent for further testing, reports are awaited.

A TwitterNG user @DrDamages had on July 21 shared a photo of the girl named Cynthia Chinecherem, and another of her result, with the caption:

She made A1 in all the 9 subjects she took in WASCE. Please tell Gov. Ugwuanyi of Enugu state to send her to a very good university.

On July 23, it caught the attention of another user @Chydee who said he wished to give to the girl N20k.

He proceeded to ask his followers to to get in touch with him if they wished to donate to the girl’s cause.

As at Monday morning, 31 TwitterNG had pledged the sum of N525,500, while 23 had made good on their pledge, bringing the total remitted sum to a total of N425,500.

GEJ’s House Burgled By Police Officers Assigned To Guard It, Loot Worth Millions Sold

An Abuja home of former President Goodluck Jonathan has been burgled, PremiumTimes reports. The house was burgled by police officers assigned to guard it.

The Nigeria Police have thus arrested three of its officers for stealing items valued at several millions of naira. The items were alleged to have been stolen from the residence located at No. 89, Fourth Avenue in the Gwarimpa district of Abuja.

They include sets of furniture, dozens of plasma television sets, refrigerators, air-conditioner units and box-loads of clothes such as designer suits imprinted with GEJ’s name, male and female Ijaw traditional attires, lace materials and bowler hats.

The three mobile police officers conducted a systematic looting over a period of three months beginning from around March 2016, until they totally stripped the house of all movable items, which they sold piecemeal to dealers at the Panteka second-hand materials market in Tipper Garage, Gwarimpa.

By the time family members of the former president were made aware of the looting early this month, the house had been stripped bare. GEJ was said to have personally gone to inspect the property after which he reported the vandalization to the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

List of clothes said to have been stolen and sold: 1. Niger Delta traditional attires in about 20 Ghana-must-go sacks. 2. Suits, each one with “President Jonathan” inscribed in the inner side, in five big Ghana-must-go sacks.

3. About 10 big Ghana-must-go sacks of women attires made from lace materials sewn in Niger Delta style. 4. More than 10 bundles of Ankara materials, known as Atamfa. 5. About 10 sets of babban riga. 6. One big Ghana-must-go sack containing clothes with PDP logo neatly sewn on each one. 7. About 20 Niger Delta bowler hats.

Electrical appliances and furniture items: 1. 36 Plasma televisions. 2. About 25 refrigerators. 3. Five sets of furniture. 4. Two sets of sitting room chairs. 5. Several air conditioner units.

Police arrest 4 “yahoo boys” in connection with the ritual killing of popular Ghanaian slay queen

The police in Dome-Kwabenya have arrested some four persons in connection with the killing of a popular slay queen, Lydia Ama Serwaa, better known as DC Queen. 

Her lifeless body was discovered last Wednesday at a popular Pub with some parts of her body missing. DC Queen was widely known as a ‘party girl’ who gained some level of attention by snaps as well as posting some Facebook photos of herself at several parties.

Some unconfirmed reports also indicates that, Serwaa was also into the habit of hanging out loosely with suspected fraud boys popularly known as Sakawa, at various parties including pubs in and around Accra.

According to the police, the four, all suspected to be fraud boys, are James Opoku, Yussif Ahmed, Akwasi Adae and Muhammed Abdul-Sadeek. They are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.

Matic Officially Joins Manchester United

Manchester United have announced the signing of Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic from Chelsea for a fee believed to be £40million.

Matic made 40 appearances in all competitions last season but he will see his role dimish this coming season after the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko from AS Monaco.

Maylasian based Nigerian big boy, Hushpuppi, should get himself ready for internet trolling and criticizing after a new research from a curious forum user, CorpersCorner, allegedly exposed and linked him to a ‘Jane Woodscrane’

Take your time and read all, as researched by Corperscorner! He wrote;

So for some time now, we’ve been getting disturbing by the noise of the glorious Gucci puppet called Hushpuppi.

First of, I’m doing this for the sake of those that would want to wallow in frustration ‘cos they feel this dude is getting money just by being a socialite (only God knows
what that truly means in today’s world).

When it comes to social engineering, you only need to slip up and make a tiny mistake just once before you have your biography being downloaded by the whole world. Apparently, Nigerian scammers are not learned enough to dust their trails. I keep telling those who care to listen, the true scammers and fraudsters have at least one Masters Degree in a duly accredited course of study from a renowned institution (not those ones that grew up knowing all the cyber cafes in the area).

Hushpuppi slipped up when he posted a screenshot of his credit notification received via mail. He exposed a detail he probably thought wouldnt mean much (dude, seriously – I thought you were smart).

Well….before i continue…leme just share the screenshots alongside this post. Observe the email addy in the screenshot below:

Sure you must have compared the email from the virtual registry with the email from his “bank alert”. Thats a 100% match…

Interesting…..LOL….Mr Socialite.

Not done yet….so a baby step was taken further to put a face to the identity and guess what. The end-result made me understand why this dude sometimes wear female clothes. Ray Hushpuppi is actually a “SHE”…..

THe email was mapped to a single profile on Facebook….no suggestions or similar profiles at all. It got mapped directly to a single Facebook account: Jane Woodscrane

Little wonder why bros hushpuppi picked the “J” from the Jane and retained the “Woodscrane”.

The account has just a few pictures with the usual Facebook privacy thing turned on (very peculiar with Nigerian scammers tho). I want to believe this dude has more aces up his sleeves.

This could be his past or his latest parole……but one thing is so certain. This is a part of who Hushpuppi is.

I do social engineering for fun….so if he would like to bark at this, he should remember there is more where that came from unless he is a close friend to the CEO of Google and would put a call through to him to wipe off all his related records off the internet (plus dark web).

I’m not hating on him tho…but so long he keeps insulting hardworking people with a verified source of income – the source of his wealth will continue to stir the curious mind.

Father burns 13-yr-old son with iron, ties him to window for 3 days after pastor told him his son is a wizard

A father of five, Austin Segun, who tied his 13-year-old son to a burglar-proof for three days because a Church leader said the boy was a wizard, has been given an ultimatum to leave Eruemukohwarien community, Ughelli North LGA of Delta State.

Mr. Segun was said to have been released on bail after he was arrested and detained at the Ughelli ‘A’ Division Police Station over the incident. The victim, Tobi Segun, who just finished his Primary 6 School Leaving Certificate exams, was rescued by a group of vigilante, who heard him whimpering at about 2a.m.

One of the vigilante members, who rescued the victim, told Vanguard that during their routine night patrol, they heard the faint cry of the boy saying he wants to die and that he can no longer bear the torture.

The boy was tied to the window protector while his hands were tied behind him. Confirming the incident, the victim’s step-mother, Mrs. Edijala Favour Segun, said: “They told us that he is a wizard at a Church we went to for prayers and he also admitted that he is a wizard.

At a point, my husband had to use a hot iron to burn his palm and feet owing to his misbehaviour. Despite this, he opened the fridge in the house and ate everything. This led to my husband tying his hands and legs to the protector. He had just been tied for three days before we were arrested.

I was asked to take Tobi to the Ughelli Central Hospital for treatment. My husband was able to secure his release, but the IPO in charge of the case ordered that we should move out of the community.”

Recounting his ordeal to Vanguard, Tobi said: “I always run from the house because I am not comfortable. My mother is dead and the woman here is my step-mother.”

Aluu 4: Court sentences 3 to death

A high court in Rivers state has sentenced three persons to death for lynching 4 students in Aluu community in 2012.

The Court presided over by Justice Nyordee has also discharged and acquitted the remaining 4, TVC reports.

According to the Judge, the prosecution failed to prove it’s case of murder against the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th accused persons beyond every reasonable doubt.

He however found the 1st to 3rd defendants guilty of murder.
