Defending Wimbledon Champion And World Number One Andy Murray Expecting His Second Child

Wimbledon is yet to begin but defending champion Andy Murray is already celebrating – his wife Kim is expecting their second child.

The Mail on Sunday reports that the couple, both 30, whose girl Sophia is 17 months old, have officially declared the news to family and friends.

Concerns will now mount that his better half’s pregnancy may have been influencing Murray’s exhibitions on the court.

Despite the fact that he is as yet world number one, he starts the defense of his Wimbledon title tomorrow with question marks hanging over his form and fitness.

Not long ago Murray revealed that he missed his first child Sophia’s first steps since he was playing abroad. Evaluating how “hard” being abroad for competitions amid ‘major milestones’, he likewise said that he had missed Sophia’s first words.

Last December, he topped a fabulous year when he became the youngest man in living memory to be knighted in the wake of winning both the Wimbledon and Olympic titles for the second time.

Tomorrow he goes up against Russian Alexander Bublik, who is 134th on the world rankings, on Center Court.
