The general consensus right now is that Nigeria’s minister of Information has betrayed the country after his ‘Senegal makes the best jollof rice’ utterance.
This comes after he claimed on-air that Senegal makes the best Jollof rice, when asked by CNN reporter, Richard Quest.
CNN’s Richard Quest recently asked Nigeria’s information minister, Lai Mohammed, ‘Which country makes the best Jollof Rice? ‘ Responding to this, Lai responded said, ‘I’ll probably say Senegal’.

They took to Twitter to call the Minister out for his response.

Apparently, a damage control move upon seeing the outrage the minister has triggered, Richard Quest quickly rose to his defence, explaining that Lai Mohammed misheard the question.
