A little girl has lost her leg due to the incompetence of the doctor who gave her a wrong diagnosis in Kaduna.
According to Felix, the girl’s parents took her to a hospital, whose name is withheld, and she was diagnosed as a sickle cell patient with malaria after some test.
She was treated and sent home but when her illness worsened, her parents took her back to the hospital.
The doctor ordered a blood transfusion through a vein in the girl’s leg because the veins in her arms were invisible.
After complications arose from the leg, she was transferred to a ABU teaching hospital where her legs were amputated due to a spreading infection.
On further diagnosis by the teaching hospital doctor, it was discovered that the girl is not a sickle cell patient.
