About 24 hours ago, a female twitter user Oriaku Okwesilieze made a public announcement about smoke filled cabin in a Port Harcourt-Lagos bound flight which caused panic among the passengers.
In reaction to the incident, Aero Contractors, through their Managing Director, Captain Ado Sanusi on Wednesday has explained the incident that led to the cabin being filled up in smoke in the tuesday evening flight from Port Harcourt to Lagos.
In a brief chat with Channels TV, Captain Ado said the smoke started in the cargo section of the aircraft and got into the cabin through the air-conditioning system.
According to Oriaku, no casualty was recorded and the pilot landed the flaming plane safely.
Also, officials of the Fire Service Emergency Unit were on the runway to put out the flames after the plane landed.
