Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has declared the state dubbed the ‘Fountain of Knowledge’ is a part of Biafra.
Dailypost reports that after the bail hearing of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the Federal High Court that sat in Abuja on Tuesday, Fayose openly declared that “Ekiti State is now part of Biafra.”
Fayose’s declarations came as a surprise to many considering the fact that it is a treasonable offense.
This is the first time Fayose is openly showing support for the movement, which is agitating for a breakaway of the South-East from the Nigeria.
Kanu has been granted bail on health grounds with several stringent bail conditions, however, the IPOB leader has refused bail till the other accused persons were granted bail like him.
