A Gistreel reader gave us a chilling narration of how she was scammed by some sellers on Instagram.
According to her, she ordered a wig online and paid for it despite being skeptical of the ‘payment before delivery option’.
She stated that she was assured of getting the ordered item because they have stopped the payment on delivery option since the death of the Jumia deliveryman.
She has since been blocked after making the payment to the alleged fraudsters.

I ordered for a wig online because I really loved it when I saw pictures of it.I don’t do pay before delivery but the instagram account seem so believable,”TOPNOTCHSTORE”i transferred into this account” Name: Oludiya Oluwafemi Account number- 0224744594…GTB” #15,500and was told I was going to get my wig by evening via DM and on call.I even had to tell a friend to help me with the transfer because I misplaced a phone and the sim I registered with in the bank was in it.Was going to pay her with cash since today is a public holiday and banks won’t function To my greatest surprise I noticed I couldn’t see any of their posts anymore, they blocked me!!!!even on whatsapp too and on phone because I couldn’t reach dem again I’m not so sure I can get my money back but I just want everybody to know about this because their instagram account looks real.
