A tragic incident occurred at a hotel in Okhoro, in the Egor Local Government Area of Edo State where two teenage boys drown in the hotel swimming pool.
Isibor Ikponmwosa, 17 and Emmanuel Abuzu, 16 were reportedly found dead after they has paid N500 each to have fun in the pool.
According to Punch, the hotel, Okhoro Play House, said to be popular in the area, had been under lock and key since the incident occurred for further investigation.
PUNCH reports that a source said some workers of the hotel have been taken to the Okhoro Police Station for interrogation.
In the report, the media outlet stated, ‘A worker at the hotel, who did not give his name, said the matter was being investigated by the police.’
The source said, “The police are already handling the matter. I think you should speak with them.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Nkombe, told Punch correspondent on Wednesday, that he was not aware of the incident, saying he was away on an official assignment.
It was, however, learnt that the case had been transferred to the homicide department of the state police command.
