According to NationalHelm, the woman, Mrs Promise Obinna went into her kitchen to grab a boiling pot of hot water and poured it on the primary six pupil.
The unfortunate event took place on 20th May, 2017 at a compound in Mbieri community in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo state where the victim and the culprit were living as co tenants.
The hot water scalded the victim’s Chika’s breasts, thighs, her backside, hands, face, back and legs.
Reports state that the little girl lost consciousness but was revived after she was rushed to Federal Medical Center, Owerri, where she is currently receiving medical attention at the children’s ward.
The accused had reportedly fled with her husband and children after the incident but Imo state police force stated that on Sunday, Obinna was nabbed after her assault.
