As reported by SaharaReporters, the school authorities were forewarned of the attack after the militants wrote to advise them of their arrangement to attack.
Though, the school administration appropriately alerted the Lagos State Police Command of the danger, which they reacted to by sending its men to take stargetic positions around the school.
However, it was reported that the Police were overwhelmed by the number of militants, and the sophisticated weapons they held in the raid.
While no militant group has come forward to claim responsibility regarding the assault, the criminals are accepted to be Niger Delta aggressors who have been known to annoy the peace in the southwest as of late.
As of the time of this report, neither the Lagos State Government nor the police has released a statement regarding the abduction.
