The body of another young lady has been discovered in a similar situation as the first victim barely 24 hours after an unidentified young girl was found dead in the Ikotun area of Lagos State.
It was reported that the first victim was murdered by unknown assassins and dumped in a street corner in the Ikotun axis.
According to P.M.EXPRESS, the new corpse was found by residents of the area on Monday morning at Balogun Street off Ikotun Igando road, Ikotun, Lagos State.
As at time of report, the identity of the victim was not yet known to residents but they revealed that she was not a resident of the area due to her unfamiliar face.
Residents also pointed out that the striking similarity about the both crimes was that the lifeless body of the victims were found few meters to a hotel in those two areas.
There was no reason for her death cause because there was no doctor’s report but some residents believed that she must have been murdered and secretly dumped there.
The residents told news correspondent that they woke up in the morning and found the lifeless body which was still fresh.
They disclosed that the victim might have come to the area for an undisclosed mission before she got killed and dumped there.
Upon visiting the scene on Monday evening, the corpse was still lying there while the police were making efforts to remove the corpse and deposit it in the mortuary.
A couple of residents stated the need for security personnel to monitor some hotels in the area due to all sorts of activity they hold such as ladies night which attracts young people especially women from other areas.
The DPO in charge confirmed the incident to our reporters and promised to dispatch his men to the scene to carry the corpse and deposit it in the mortuary for autopsy report.
He also hinted that the police has since commenced investigation regarding the incidents and will unravel the cause of the deaths in due time.
Residents also told P.M EXPRESS that the police were looking the other way on the activities of the hotel because the hotel owners settles them.
The police, however; are yet to confirm or deny the accusation from the residents.
