The Ghanaian authorities have nabbed 6 Nigerians namely Chimaroke, Ike Amechi, Anthony Emmanuel, Godfred Alex, Kayode Ayodele and Opious Owner.
The culprits have been paraded at the Accra Regional Police Commander of Operations, for reportedly luring and raping the victim who had been in communication with one of the offenders, Chimaroke via Facebook prior the occurrence.
Chief Superintendent Kwesi Ofori said that the 21-year-old lady, Ashaley Botwe was lured to Chimaraoke’s house near Accra; where he lived with the five other accomplices for a Sallah present.
But on Ashaley’s arrival at the resident; instead of giving her the agreed present, demanded sex from her. On her refusal, Botwe allegedly pounced on and raped.
“Chimaroke made advances to the victim but when she resisted, he smashed her phone and raped her.
Fortunately for her, the victim had another phone on her which she used to call her brothers who called the police and informed them of the incident” he said
