Alhaji who allegedly killed 200 level student declared wanted as autopsy reveals she died of acute cocaine poison

The Abuja-based Alhaji – Usman Adamu – who allegedly killed one Miss Joy Odama, a 200 Level Mass Communication undergraduate of Cross River State University, has been declared wanted by the Police Force Headquarters.

Aside declaring him wanted, the Force Headquarters also said the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Karmo, where the alleged murder took place, has been queried, removed and transferred over what was described as “professional misconduct” over Joy’s death.

The autopsy report from the National Hospital, Abuja, has revealed that Joy died of acute cocaine poison. Late Joy Odama The report indicated cardiogenic shock secondary to diffusion as part of cause for death.

The report reads in part: “The cause of death was traced to cardiogenic shock secondary to diffusion, myocardial infaration secondary to possible acute cocaine poison.”

Meanwhile, the Governor of Cross River State, Prof Ben Ayade, have stepped into the case and promised to bring the killer of Odama to book, and also constituted a strong legal team to pursue the matter to logical conclusion.

The bereaved mother lamented that the man in question later offered the family N400,000, to drop the matter.

She recalled that on 18,Dec, 2016, her daughter’s friend, one Elizabeth, visited them and told Joy to accompany her to see one Alhaji Usman Adamu who she said was a philanthropist that gives scholarship to young students.

She said the Alhaji lives in the same neighborhood, precisely at Ibro Quarters, Old Karmo-Abuja. Two days later, the Alhaji invited Joy and 2 of her friends, to his house, where they ended up becoming unconscious, leading to the death of Joy.

The DPO of Karmo police station, in connivance with Alhaji Adamu, then declared that Joy died a natural death and said that the Alhaji committed no offense.
